WOMEN CALL FOR PEACE IN BAWKU

The Coalition for Savana Women for Peace (CSWP) has added its voice to the call for peace in the Bawku Municipality. At a press conference on Saturday, 19th July 2008,  the women noted with concern the recurring eruption of the internal conflicts in Bawku, their handling and effects in parts of the Northern Sector of Ghana.

GHANA ELECTIONS 2008: BALLOTS or BULLETS

Public interest in the topic appears to be on the increase with a significant percentage of the population expressing fears and pessimism towards the impending Presidential and Parliamentary elections slated for 7th December 2008. There is a genuine fear that Election 2008 may not be as peaceful as the preceding ones of ’92, 96, 2000 and 2004.
